Reading Dragons & Friends is a collectable card game that you add to by reading! For Winter Reading this year (January 5 - April 4) anyone ages 5-18 can register to get a reading tracker and 3 starter cards and 1 how to play card, so you can practice the basics. By logging reading, you can earn a set of mythical creature cards for each row you fill or 120 pts you earn. A set of 4 cards is a growth cycle showing the egg, baby, teen, and adult of the creature you choose and can make you card battles even more interesting!

This program encourages families to read 1,000 books with their children before they enter kindergarten.  Children between the ages 1 to 5 years old can register. Welcome to the 26 Books in 2026 Reading Challenge!

This year-long program can be as laid back or as challenging as you want it to be. You will have the ability to log up to 26 Reader's Choice titles and up to 26 Challenge titles over the course of the year. Challenge books are to fit a specific theme, but you can choose the title. 

This program will differ from our Summer Reading Program in that there are no minutes to log - points are earned by completing missions. Points can be used to buy tickets to our monthly raffles. Prizes will consist of $25 gift certificates to local businesses.

To help pace the program, missions are released on the first of each month. You can complete past missions but cannot complete future missions. Each mission can be completed once.

Each month you can log UP TO two Reader's Choice titles for 100 points each and UP TO two Challenge titles for 200 points each. Each quarter will have a bonus challenge, either a bonus Reader's Choice or a bonus Challenge title. Points are good for the duration of the program and do not expire month-to-month.
