All Together Now Outdoor Missions

During the All Together Now Summer Reading program, we encourage you to get out and explore your neighborhood, the city, and the state through various of activities.  Take a hike along a river, visit the Bookmobile, read a story at one of the StoryWalk or build a sandcastle at the beach are just a few activities you can do this summer to earn the Outdoor Mission Badge.

During the All Together Now Summer Reading program, come join us at the library and throughout the city at the many different programs and events.  There will be storytimes with special guests; messy and fun programs, creative library programs and Bookmobile stops just to name a few of the many programs that will be happening this summer.

All Together Now Reading Missions

During the All Together Now Summer Reading program, you will explore nature that we have here in Manchester as well as in New Hampshire.  We will explore our community; meet those who work in the city and also explore all of what Manchester has to offer families. Read your favorite stories under a shade tree, by a gently flowing brook or at the beach while building a sandcastle. These are some of the activities you can do to earn the All Together Now Reading Badge.

Attend Teen 2023 Summer Programs

• Attend weekly programs to earn special teen weekly badge pins featuring exclusive artwork!
• Earn 4 weekly program badges to earn an additional 100 points toward your summer reading prize levels!

After attending a teen event, don't forget to complete the activity here on READSquared to earn your badge and pin.  

Chipper Scavenger Hunt Mission

Chipper our library chipmunk is hiding somewhere in the library. He doesn't like heights so we know that he is not on the roof.  Can you help find him?  If you do spot him in the library, quietly sneak away and come to the children's room reference desk.  It is okay to leave him where you saw him.  At the desk, you will fill out a raffle ticket with your name, phone number and where you saw Chipper.  Once filled out, you will place your ticket in our Nemo hat.  Weekly winners are drawn after we close on Saturday.  Every Monday, Chipper likes to hide in another place.  Can you find him each week?

Moose Scavenger Hunt Mission

Short 2 minute videos will run each week on our Facebook page featuring “Manny the Moose”. Children can come in and answer the question from the video to earn an extra raffle ticket each week.  

Oceans of Fun Trivia

How much do you really know about the ocean? Here is your chance to test your knowledge with our ocean trivia quiz!

How itworks:

1. There are 16 questions!

2. Answer each question correctly for 10 points!

4. Enter your answers athttps://manchesternh.readsquared.com OR give your answers to a librarian at theInformation Desk and they will log that item as complete for you.

5. Answer as many questions as you can by August 20th.

Reading Around

Books can take you around the world and back, even if you're only in your backyard! Show us all the fun and exciting places you read by marking each place you read. Get out and read!

Summer at the Ocean Scavenger Hunt

How itworks:

1. Work together with some friends and family or by yourself.

2. Find the item that matches something from the list.

3. Take a picture of it. Weekly hidden items can be found at our main library or the branch.

4. Upload the image to READsquared OR show the image to a librarian at the Information Desk and they will log thatitem as complete for you.

5. Find as many items as you can and submit them by August 20th. Every item you find gives you 10 points to put towards our weekly raffle prizes.
